Bio
Artist Clayton Burns has been working with glass and sculpture for 6 years. He spent two years studying glass blowing under the guidance of Professor Rick Schneider at Anoka Ramsey Community College in Minnesota. It was Rick Schneider whom encouraged Clayton to transfer to Ball State University and work under professors Brent Cole and Jennifer Halverson. At Ball State Clayton began to refine his craft of glass blowing as well as picking up new skill sets in mold making, neon techniques and metal fabrication. His latest works utilize found objects in partnership with neon to create sculptures inspired by American psychiatrist Elisabeth Kubler-Ross’s 5 stages of Grief.
